I have used hotelreservations.com several times over the last few years, but most significantly, I used it last year while planning a trip to Frankfurt. I wanted to stay in a different hotel every night, so that I could better see a variety of different areas in the city. I wanted to make sure that I also got to see and understand a lot more about the city as well, and I figured by staying in a different hotel each and every night, I was giving myself the best opportunity possible to see more of what Frankfurt had to offer.
What I began to realize about hotelreservations.com however is that they don't just offer up hotels. I began to notice that I was getting all sorts of results for places that were substantially better than just a regular hotel. I was getting resorts, beds and breakfasts, and because I was staying about a month, I was even getting short rent condos as well. This of course, I found out later can be controlled when you are doing your search so you can have these added or you can choose to just search a particular one of them. This made it significantly easier to find exactly what I was wanting.
Ultimately I found myself checking out several different B&B's. But, I didn't have to actually go to the location to really check out the facilities, because hotelreservations.com features a load of pictures on each of the locations that they offer, plus, they offer virtual tours. This meant that I knew exactly what I was getting myself into when I went to the hotel.
Other things that they offer include the booking of flights both domestically and internationally as well as full vacation packages, that even include the rental car.
Probably the only thing that I wish that they had, which they don't is the inclusion of more information about the local area itself. Maybe a little background information. Unfortunately they don't offer this, so I found that I had to find out more background at another site. But, in regards to finding a quality place to sleep at night, there definitely isn't anything better than hotelreservations.com. You just get to see so much, that it makes it almost pointless to use any other site.
